Congrats to Jan Smit with his featured Photo of the day #6. Old and new life together in a natural frame. This young Little owl has a good  protective home by using the rotten sawed tree. They perfect fit together and what a penetrating look in the eyes. Shot with a Canon Eos 1D MIII with EF 500/4.o, f10, 1/200 sec and iso 400.
